Central Bhutan Impression Tour
Nine days deep into western and central Bhutan — Phobjikha, Trongsa, and the Bumthang valleys.
Overview
Journey highlights
This is Bhutan's most complete journey through its western and central highlands. After exploring Thimphu and crossing into Punakha, the route continues east through the black-necked crane sanctuary of Phobjikha, over the Black Mountain Range into Trongsa, and onward into Bumthang — the spiritual heartland of Bhutan. The Bumthang valley is home to some of the country's oldest temples, including Jampay Lakhang and Kurjey Temple, and the landscape shifts dramatically as you move through successive passes and altitude changes.
